Now based in London, but growing up in the West Yorkshire brass band scene, Emma-Jean Thackray is creating waves with her home-produced recordings, open-minded attitude to influences and a lush sound often created with a choice pick of fellow young UK jazz collaborators. Her new EP Rain Dance came out earlier this year – watch the video below for music that’s perfect listening for rainy or sunny autumn days alike.
