A leading influencer on the european avant-garde scene, John Surman has been performing in interesting musical situations for many years with previous projects including playing alongside church organ and Tunisian oud. John has been collaborating with the Trans4mation String Quartet as The John Surman String Project since the early 2000s. This concert recorded was on February 22, 2020 at Studio 104 of the Maison de la Radio as part of the Jazz Concerts on the Spot by Arnaud Merlin and can be heard on France Musique here.
