Because Monk continued performing well into the TV age, jazz fans are blessed to be able to watch live poerformances of this unique pianist with various groups. This one has been ‘colourized’ from the original black & white recording and does get a little strobe-y in places, but it’s a great performances with Charlie Rouse on tenor sax, and look out for Monk’s dancing!
